What is A Guide to Finding the Best
Baby Stroller?
Whether out running errands, on a whirlwind weekend getaway, or exploring far-flung places, parents need a stroller that's up to the task. But with so many stroller options on the market, it can be hard to know which one to choose. That's why we've put together a guide to help you find the best stroller for your family.
There are five main functions that strollers must accomplish: transporting the child forward and backward, navigating turns, locking mechanism to reduce possibility of the stroller moving unintentionally, and keeping the child secure inside the stroller. To perform these functions, the stroller is primarily composed of a metal frame with fabric fastened on top of it. The fabric is attached to the frame using different techniques. For example, some parts of the fabric are glued while others are directly screwed into the metal tubes with pre-drilled holes.
When the stroller is not in use, it can be folded. It can also be carried by the structural bars, a plastic tray, or by its handle. In our user study, we found that all of these methods work well to meet the function goals of the stroller. When the stroller is in use, it can be adjusted to suit the child’s needs. For example, the stroller can be reclined to allow the child to relax in a more comfortable position or can be equipped with a car seat that is securely clicked into place on the seat.
